Qigong(Chi Kung) is the cultivation of your life force energy through gentle exercises, meditation, and clinical treatment. Rooted in Taoism, Qigong constitutes a multitude of forms that can harmonize the body’s energies, increase vitality, strengthen immunity, enhance concentration, balance emotion and enhance your spiritual connection. Qigong Treatment is an off-the-body expression of Classical Chinese Medicine. Another way of framing this might be to call it quantum engineering supporting multiple levels of our human expression.
The energy body is impacted by emotional, physical, and environmental influences. Using road repair as an analogy to explain the integration of treatment and self-practice would look like this: If a mud slide occurs on a California highway, traffic will slow, stagnate, possibly even require another route around the blockage. A crew with specialized machinery will come in and remove the mud slide and begin to repair the road. Eventually, the responsibility of road repair and maintenance returns to the regularly assigned road crew. The Qi in our bodies is like the traffic. Life events may cause it to slow or reroute its way through the body. Treatment applies the specialized effort and the client’s personal practice and meditation provide the ongoing maintenance.
Because Qigong works on the whole person, this work can be good support when we are facing physical, emotional, and mental stress.

What a Session Looks Like
The initial session is typically 2 hours with follow up sessions being 90 minutes. A little history is taken in the first session but all sessions include discussion of current concerns, assessment, treatment, a review of findings, Qigong instruction, and coaching to help integrate the work into your life. During the assessment and treatment you will lie comfortably clothed on a massage table while I guide us both into a meditative state. Once we are centered, I assess and treat you through the field (this means very little touch occurs during these sessions).
Working remotely is the same process. I work through the quantum field, connecting with your energy body through this field. Since the quantum field allows us to work outside of space or time, you get to stay home as I work with you from my own home. Throughout the years I have been practicing, I have experienced remote treatments are just as effective as in-person treatments. I have treated folks while they are traveling, living out of state, and in hospitals. I still assess and treat invasives, the balance and flow of your energy body, and the return of energies that might have gone missing. We can connect by telephone or FaceTime and this allows us to move through the process of the session just as if we are in the same room. Regardless of whether a first session is in-person or remote, follow-up sessions usually occur monthly, though, with chronic issues, we may start with three sessions scheduled more closely together. As the clients system progresses and stabilizes, the sessions move out to tune ups that may occur quarterly, annually, or in response to an event.
Rates for these sessions are $100/hour.
Your Pet
Sometimes our precious pets are facing challenges that seem inexplicable or unresolvable. While this treatment in no way replaces veterinary care, it does allow for a look at the subtle energetic influences that may be preventing an animal from healing completely or as quickly as they might. I have also found that a short series of treatments, 2-3, can help a rescued animal release some of the negative influences of their past and become more adoptable or more easily integrated into their new home. All pets are treated remotely.
The cost is $100 per treatment.

What Folks Are Saying
I cannot thank you enough for the energy treatment. You've given me my life back. That anger, frustration, and anxiety was taking over every aspect of my life. I finally feel like myself again and it is AWESOME! -M. Townsend, Manitowoc, WI
In 2008, I developed an issue that no amount of doctor's appointments could seem to fix. I was miserable and angry and described my problem to Karen. She told me she'd like to give fixing it a try, and I decided to let her, even though I'd never really given much thought to qigong. Karen fixed my problem in one session, just one, and I've had zero problems since. I am so incredibly grateful and highly recommend her services to anyone. -Ann A., Austin, TX
